Communications Specialist Part-time
The Town of Mt. Airy is seeking a part-time Communications Specialist to organize, manage and be responsible for the Town’s publishing, website and social media pages. This position will work with staff to address the communications needs of the Town government, its operations and events. Must be able to work well with others including the Mayor, Town Council, Commissions and staff. The ability to work independently and multi-task is a must.
Duties to include:
· Manage the Town’s website and social media platforms
· Generate any/all media references (videos, brochures, etc.)
· Write and distribute a monthly newsletter
· Coordinate with Departments to publicize and keep current noteworthy programs and projects
· Coordinate with print media outlets
